Whenever I go on a Target run, I always make sure to grab a few frozen meals for those lazy days when I want something quick and easy. And the great thing is that Target has tons of options for whatever you like. But what products are the tastiest things to add to your cart? I asked our resident foodie Zach to share his picks for the best frozen foods that are sure to please your taste buds.
Mushroom & Truffle Oil Pizza
Frozen pizza is always an easy option for those lazy nights. There are LOTS of options out there, but just because it’s a frozen pizza doesn’t mean it can’t still feel a little fancy. That’s why I love this one. The thin crust gets nice and crispy while truffle oil adds tons of flavor.
Cheese Enchilada w/ Beans & Corn
If you want a full Mexican meal then this is a great option. The cheese enchilada is gooey and delicious. It’s served with beans and corn to make it a complete, well-rounded meal. My suggestion is to heat it up in the oven instead of the microwave to get a better texture.
Banza Chickpea Crust Pizza
If you wanted a healthier frozen pizza option then I suggest the Banza version with a crust made from chickpeas. It’s gluten-free and has tons of protein. I like to go with the cheese and add my own toppings. Usually some diced peppers, mushrooms, spinach, and pieces of grilled chicken. Add whatever you like and make it your own!
Veggie Sausage, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich
Last week we told you how breakfast was the most important meal of the day, so grab these and make sure you don’t skip it. These breakfast sandwiches are the easiest way to make sure you get a full breakfast in without having to cook. The plant-based sausage still has plenty of protein while keeping the sandwich vegetarian.
Mushroom Risotto
The problem with making risotto is it can take a long time to make, but not with this frozen version. You can microwave it, but I suggest making it on the stove. It takes under 10 minutes and gets you a risotto with all the flavor and texture of a restaurant version. My suggestion is to serve it with some roasted chicken breast or top it with some sautéed shrimp.
Mini Chicken Corn Dogs
If you want an easy snack then I love these mini corn dogs. They use chicken franks which is a healthier option than your traditional beef dogs. The batter gets nice and crispy just like you would want it to. The best part is they’re small enough that you can make just a few at a time, or a whole bag if you have friends coming over. The oven works well, but an air fryer will really get them crispy.
Caulipower Buffalo Chicken Pizza
I promise this is the last pizza I’m going to include, but it was too good to leave out. Caulipower makes a great cauliflower-based crust that’s gluten-free and lower carb than your traditional crust. This buffalo chicken flavor is one of my favorites.
Ultimate Cheesecake Collection
I don’t know about you, but I have a major sweet tooth. Cheesecake is one of my favorites, but sometimes I can’t decide what flavor I want. This box of 12 slices is perfect because it includes 3 different flavors. There’s your classic New York style, strawberry swirl, and turtle flavor. That way I can pull out a slice of whatever I’m in the mood for and dig in!
