Ready for more of our neutral and natural project? We’ve shown you the living room and kitchen areas, and yesterday we showed you the relaxing primary suite. And today, we’re taking you to the other spaces designed for a soothing night’s sleep- the Guest Bedrooms.
For the two guest bedrooms, we definitely went dark, utilizing black as a major design component in wallcoverings, paint, and accessories. But to keep things from feeling a little too moody, we brought in lots of lighter tones through soft bed linens, textiles, and vibrant art. The results are balanced bedrooms that are equal parts compelling and calming.

GUEST BEDROOM 1
It’s all about the bold and graphic elements in the first guest bedroom. Starting with the black accent wall that draws the eye, to the black and white stripe rug and circle brushstroke art, there’s plenty of pieces that keep things visually appealing. For the bed, we kept things simple in upholstered grey, adding a striped duvet, and grey and black accent pillows. The wood nightstands, sculptural table lamps and suede bench all help bring in warming tones that help counterbalance those bold elements. The angular art from Bobby’s line helps break up all the vertical and horizontal lines, and continues a pop of black. Across from the bed, the Culla Dresser from Article adds more rich, brown tones, with a black sculptural object, concrete table lamp, and a desert photograph drawing the area together.

GUEST BEDROOM 2
A dramatic dark grey wallcovering sets the tone for this guest bedroom. With a subtle grid pattern, it also brings in a strong linear quality to the space that is also reflected in the Lux 3 Rug from Nordic Knots and cross-shaped Fjord Pendant from Cedar and Moss. The Mid-Century Pebble Bed by West Elm, along with nightstands in a washed grey finish are contrasting partners to the dark tones. To bring in softness, we hung a pair of tone on tone white textured paintings, curvy Pearl Sconces from Cedar & Moss and a subtle geometric white duvet cover and waffle weave throw on the bed. And for some added interest, we choose color-blocked curtains for the window treatments.

This is so incredibly clever. Creating the pallette and design for inspo and then directing people where to go to recreate a similar look in their own homes. Love!
