Ask any designer what the best part of their job is and they most likely will say, “the shopping and sourcing for clients”. It’s definitely one of the perks of the job and one that I am fond of – but the follow-up question that happens immediately after the first is “where are your favorite stores?”.
So today I am diving into a few of my very favorite design stores here in LA although this list is just the tip of the iceberg as there are so many incredible stores. We will continue to add and feature more, but to kick off the weekend, here some that I am currently loving. Some of these also have online shops which are also linked up below. Ready, set, shop.

Gallerie Half
6911 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038
Pictured here, this will always be one of my favorite stores to pop into for inspiration. Every inch of this place is perfectly styled and their selection of vintage and antique goods is incredible.
LAWSON FENNING
6824 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038
Stocked with furniture, decor, goods, and gifts, this is a one-stop shop for anything you need. They also have a smaller location in Silverlake if you are on the East Side and their own furniture and decor line.

NICKEY KEHOE
7221 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036
Vintage, new and everything in between. This store carries their own line as well as some unique and beautiful finds. You can get lost in this store in all the right ways.
BEND GOODS
7007 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038
Just a few blocks away from Nickey Kehoe is bend goods which designs and makes all their own bent metal furniture and decor. It’s fun, bright and very happy.

METROPOLIS COLLECTIBLE
100 S. La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036
If you haven’t been here then you should definitely make a visit. The collection is always changing (both inside and outside) and you will always find a unique piece here. It’s unpredictable, fun, and filled with some quirky finds.
GARDE SHOP
7418 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 134 Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026134 Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 9002690036
Pictured here, it’s simple, clean and minimal aesthetic is one that I always love when I come into this store. They have a selection of small goods as well as some clothing, jewelry and gift options. If monochromatic is your vibe, then this store is for you

AMSTERDAM MODERN
134 Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026
This place is massive, over 10,000 square feet of vintage and antique goods, mostly Danish and Scandinavian in origin. They have some incredible pieces in here, and you can always browse their selection online, though if you have never been it is worth a visit.
MIDCENTURY LA
- 5333 Cahuenga Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601
If you are looking for Danish, Swedish or European furniture then head here. The selection is massive and they also have a selection of pieces in their store (and online) that they will refinish and reupholster for you after you pick out the fabric that you want. Besides, anywhere with an entire wall of chairs like this is somewhere that I want to be.

HAMMER and spear
255 S. Santa Fe Ave #100, Los Angeles, CA 90012
I first found this place, which is located in the Arts District, as well as a new location they opened up in WeHo when I was living in downtown LA and I’ve always loved it. They have a gorgeous selection of gifts, homegoods, beauty as well as furniture. It’s got the perfect patina and is a place I love to shop.
BIG DADDY’s ANTIQUES
3334 La Cienega Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90016
Even if you aren’t shopping for anything, stop by this store just for the visual inspiration. Located in Culver City, this warehouse houses some incredible antique pieces but the best part is the merchandising. Whether that be a wall of paint brushes, a 10 foot tall cage with doves inside, or a massive tree inside the building, there is a lot to look at.
