Hopefully, Queer Eye Season 6 has made you laugh, cry, and get inspired by some incredible heroes – and makeovers. But even if you’ve binged all the episodes, we’ve still got even more insider design details to share. And this week, we’re bringing you a makeover that helped one humanitarian continue to make the world a better place.
We meet Chris in Episode 8 – “Gimme Shelter”.
As Executive Director of the non-profit The Other Ones Foundation, Chris works to provide food, shelter, and work opportunities to those experiencing homelessness. The organization has set a goal of raising $6 million dollars for a housing initiative, and Chris feels pressured to deliver. But he worries that his lack of self-esteem and grungy appearance could be holding him back from attracting donors to the cause.
The Fab Five arrived to offer Chris a whole lot of compassion, teach him to take time for himself, and discover the self-confidence he needs to be an even more effective community leader.
For this design makeover, Bobby gave The Other Ones Foundation offices an inviting and functional new feel, while also giving Chris’ kitchen and dining area a total upgrade.
Keep scrolling to see the amazing results of Chris’ makeover, along with the shoppable products for you to bring the look home.
Be sure to come back each week for an inside look at how all the Season 6 transformations happened – and learn how to create the heroes’ makeovers in your own space!

Your style is amazing but more than anything the shows have so much to share, especially the Gimme Shelter episode.
I had a similar experience when my Mom passed away and I never spoke to anyone about it. I thought it was just me and that I was a horrible person, and that happened in 1989. Listening to Chris made me realize I was just a kid (29 years old) trying to handle an awful situation by myself and I needed to let it go. Thank you so much, I will be forever grateful.
You were truly amazing on this season! Appreciate everything you bring to this show.
I’m wondering if you’ll be sharing any details on the bedroom in Chris’ episode? (Specifically eyeing those nightstands!) Thank you 🙂
We won’t be sharing all the details on Chris’ bedroom (there’s just too much design and too little time). But you can shop the gorgeous nightstand used (which is actually a coffee table) here. xx -B
Thanks so much! This link isn’t working for me. Could you resend?
The long dining table is awesome! Can you tell me where it’s from?
You can shop a similar option to the table HERE. xx -B
What bamboo/wood blinds did you use? They look fantastic.
The blinds used are featured in the product slider. You can shop them here. xx -B
Oh Bobby, I totally binged – literally watched all night – the latest season and this was such a special one. (Plus, like Chris, I too am an old Dead Head so I liked him the minute of introduction.) ♥
You did a fabulous job on this episode. Everyone did. And oh my word, the tears – of empathy, of joy, or all the LOVE you guys bring to this world. Thanks so much for that. I sure hope you feel the love coming back to you, because you deserve it!
Stay well. Hugs.
Thank you so much for your kind words and love for our heroes! We loved our time with Chris so much and we can’t wait to see what he accomplishes in Austin. So happy to hear you enjoyed this season and hope you continue to stay inspired! xx -B
Tell me about that amazing hood! (Everythin you do is amazing) but that really caught my eye!
The hood was made by covering drywall with Stikwood wood planks. I love it too! xx -B
Loved this episode! Would you mind sharing where the beautiful knit blanket on the bed is from? Thank you!
Thank you! You can shop the bed throw here. xx -B
Curious which products Bobby used on the ceiling “Gimme Shelter” in Chris’ kitchen. Bamboo? Paint? Love the wood accent wall in the master bedroom. Thank you.
The ceiling is actually a grasscloth wallpaper. I love how it adds warmth and texture to the space. xx -B
Where was the white shaggy bedroom rug in Chris’s makeover from!!! Loved it!
The original is no longer available, but you can shop a similar option to the rug we used here. xx -B
Hi ! We are obsessed with the brown leather sofa that was put in Chris’ living room. I have been looking everywhere for it, or a similar one. My husband is a big guy and we have a hard time finding furniture that can hold up. This couch looks like it’s very well made and won’t be sunken in in 1-2 years. Please, could you tell us where it’s from? Thank you!
I love that sofa too! You can shop it here. xx -B
Another bedroom question…
Could you send a link to the bed (or something similar in color/fabric/profile)?
Thank you in advance!
You can shop a similar bed here. xx -B
I would like to know where the bedside tables came from from Chris’ bedroom. They are very cool and I like how wide they are.
Thanks so much.
You can shop the nightstands here. xx -B
Hi! It appears the link for the nightstands above didnt work. Can you reshare it please?
Can you tell me where you got the wall baskets on the staircase wall leading up to the bedroom? Love the show!!
Wondering where the two chairs are from in the living room
You can shop the chairs here. xx -B
Really enjoyed everything in this space! The little ottomans in the living room are exact what I’d love in mine, I’d love to know where they are from! Thanks for everything you do for so many deserving people!
The ottomans are unfortunately no longer available, but you can shop a very similar option HERE. Thanks so much for your comment. xx -B
I am amazed with all of your make overs! Will you please let me know where you got the patio furniture for Chris’s outdoor space? I love it! Thank You!
The outdoor chairs are unfortunately no longer available, but you can shop a similar option here. xx -B
Where can I get the rattan ottoman/storage seats in Chris’ new living room?
The ottomans are unfortunately no longer available, but here is a similar woven rattan ottoman. Thanks so much for your comment. xx -B
